My roots are over three generations deep in the Eel River Valley. I was born in Scotia and grew up along the banks of the Eel in Fortuna. After earning my degree at UC Davis, I came back home to run my family’s 100-year-old apple business, Clendenen’s Cider Works, where I have worked for 30 years. My parents taught me the value of hard work. As a small business owner, I’m used to planning, budgeting and meeting a payroll. I'll put my education, skills and experience to work for you, the people. Its time we make sure the Second District receives its fair share of county resources.

This election will be pivotal for the future of Humboldt County. As your next Second District Supervisor, I'll bring fresh energy and a new perspective to the job. I will work for a vibrant future for us all. As our economy transitions, let's avail ourselves of opportunities to diversify by using the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit inherent in the Second District.
