Now that the June 3rd election has been certified, I would like to thank you, the citizens of the Second District, for your votes. My thanks go out to my family, friends, supporters and the many volunteers that worked on my campaign. Running for supervisor has been informative and challenging, and I’m honored and gratified to be in the run-off election on November 4th.

I look forward to a Humboldt County where we can progress economically as well as maintain the quality of life that we all love, and I eagerly welcome your continued input, ideas, and support.

My roots are over three generations deep in the Eel River Valley. I was born in Scotia and grew up along the banks of the Eel in Fortuna. After earning my degree at UC Davis, I came back home to run my family’s 100-year-old apple business, Clendenen’s Cider Works, where I have worked for 30 years. My parents taught me the value of hard work. As a small business owner, I’m used to planning, budgeting and meeting a payroll. I'll put my education, skills and experience to work for you, the people. Its time we make sure the Second District receives its fair share of county resources.

This election will be pivotal for the future of Humboldt County. As your next Second District Supervisor, I'll bring fresh energy and a new perspective to the job. I will work for a vibrant future for us all. As our economy transitions, let's avail ourselves of opportunities to diversify by using the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit inherent in the Second District. I will work hard for new jobs, restoration of our rivers, and preserving our quality of life. With your vote, we will shape a sustainable future for ourselves and our children.

Please vote November 4th for Clif Clendenen.
